Dal Soup with Bread (Dal Pati)

Ingredients
- Dal /Lentils1/4 cup
- Onion, finely chopped1
- Tomato , Finely chopped2
- Garlic, minced1 Head
- Turmeric Powder1/4 Teaspoon
- Red Chili Powder1/2 Teaspoon
- Oil4 Tablespoons
- Water1 cup
- Salt To taste
- Bread
- Onion
Instructions
- In one Tablespoon of oil cook onion and tomato for a couple of minutes.
- Add washed lentils , salt, red chilli powder, turmeric and 1 cup of water, then cook the lentils in a pressure cooker for 5 minutes or until Dal is done.
- Now add another cup of water and cook it for 5 minutes and keep stir it.( it should look like soup)
- In a pan, heat oil, then add grated garlic and cook to lightly brown. Add the cooked garlic to lentil soup.
- Crumble some bread and place it into a bowl, then pour the lentil soup on crumbled bread. Break one onion with your fest and serve the Dal Pati with breaking onion.
