Custard (Maaghot)

Ingredients

      For For Saffron Custard
  • Water1 cup
  • Custard2 Tablespoons
  • Cardamom powder1/4 Teaspoon
  • Saffron1 - 2 strands
  • Sugar1- 2 Tablespoons
    1. For For Pomegranate Custard
  • Pomegranate Juice1 cup
  • Custard2 Tablespoons
  • Cardamom 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Sugar1 Tablespoon
    1. For Serving
  • Blanced Pistachios1/4 cup
  • Blanched Almonds1/4 cup



Instructions

  1. For Zaffron Custard : In 1/4 cup of water mix saffron then mix the custard powder well.
  2. Bring to boil 3/4 cup of water with sugar and cardamom then add in the saffron + custard mixture and stir till the mixture thickens.
  3. Remove from heat and pour the mixture into desired moulds, let it cool completely for some hours.

  1. For Pomegranate Custard : In 1/4 cup of pomegranate juice mix custard powder well.
  2. Bring to boil 3/4 cup of pomegranate juice with sugar and cardamom then add in the pomegranate + custard mixture and stir till the mixture thickens.
  3. Remove from heat and pour the mixture into desired moulds, let it cool completely for some hours.
  4. Serving: Demould the custard and serve with blanched dry pistachio and almonds.
