Cake Suji (Semolina Cake)

Ingredients

      For For Syrup
  • Sugar1 1/2 cup
  • Water1 1/2 cup
  • Rose Essence1 Teaspoon
  • Lemon Juice1 Tablespoon

  • Pistachiosome
  • Nutssome
    1. For For Cake
  • Semolina (sujee)2 cups
  • Milk1 cup
  • Butter1/4 cup
  • Caster sugar3/4 cup
  • Baking Powder1 Teaspoon
  • Baking Soda1 Teaspoon
  • Vanilla Essence2 Teaspoons



Instructions

  1. Boil sugar and water to make the syrup, add the rose and lemon juice at end. Set aside.
  2. Mix sugar, milk, oil then add the semolina, baking powder, baking soda and rose, combine all the ingredients well.
  3. Pre-heat oven and bake the cake for 40 minutes.
  4. Remove from oven and pour the syrup over the cake. Cut as desired.
  5. Serve it with pistachio and nuts.
